Judy Stratton, PT
Judy received her Bachelor's degree in Biology from Luther College in 1981 and graduated from Mayo Clinic's School of Allied Health Science Physical Therapy Program in 1983.Although she grew up in Minnesota, Judy has lived in Arizona since 1986. She has been working primarily in outpatient orthopedic clinics providing post surgical care along with treatment of acute and chronic work or sport related injuries.
Judy's training beyond graduate school has focused on manual therapy approaches for joint mobilization and therapeutic exercise. She utilizes a variety of manual approaches to accomplish optimal mobility and strength in both spine and extremity related injuries. Judy's family, which includes her husband and two sons, ages 10 and 12, enjoy all that Flagstaff has to offer for quality of life and outdoor activities.
Bev Pishkur, PT
Originally from Phoenix, Bev attended Northern Arizona University, graduating with a degree in Physical Therapy in 1981. Following a few years in Southern California, she returned to Flagstaff in 1983 and has made it her home since. At Don Berlyn Physical Therapy, Bev enjoys working with people with various work, sports, trauma and degenerative surgical and non-surgical injuries. She utilizes a hands-on approach, incorporating manual therapy, exercise and education into each treatment program.
Maureen Lefere, PT
Maureen Lefere graduated with a Master's degree in Physical Therapy from NAU in 1994. She is licensed in Arizona and Oregon. She has practiced in a variety of settings and incorporates an eclectic mix of treatment philosophies into her practice. Maureen has extensive continuing education in treatment of spinal disorders utilizing the Australian and Norwegian treatment approaches and has a strong belief in manual therapy as a modality to promote injury recovery. In addition, she believes in exercise as the primary tool for tissue healing, management of chronic injuries, and for the prevention of re-injury.
She employs humor, compassion, education, and understanding in her practice and welcomes the opportunity to work with a variety of impairments, both orthopedic and neurological. Maureen has traveled extensively through Central and South America and welcomes the opportunity to work with patients whose preferred language is Spanish. Maureen enjoys the active lifestyle that Flagstaff provides including running, biking, cross country skiing, snowshoeing, and dancing. She divides her time between Flagstaff and Portland, OR and is happy to be here in a cold but sunny winter.
Daniel M. Chitwood PT, DPT, LMT, CSCS
Dan earned his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from NAU in 2007 and received his Bachelor of Science in Health Science from the University of Arizona in 1999 (Summa Cum Laude). He is a Southern Arizona native and he and his wife Christine have lived in Flagstaff for the last 5 years. In 1994 he graduated from the Desert Institute of the Healing Arts in Tucson, AZ with a Certificate in Massage Therapy and has been a self-employed licensed Massage Therapist in Arizona for over 14 years.
Dan formally began his training in 1991, following a tour of military service, while volunteering at the Downtown YMCA in Tucson, Arizona. Since then, he has been working in the health and fitness industry as a personal trainer, fitness professional and manual therapist.He continues to advance his knowledge and understanding of the human body as it relates to movement and overall health and is a dedicated healthcare professional.Dan holds professional certification and membership with the "gold standard" credentialing associations and boards in the country for Physical Therapy (APTA), Massage Therapy (AMTA), physical conditioning (ACE, CSCS) and bodywork (NCTMB).
Dan enjoys being physically active and teaching. He is an avid mountain biker, hiker and camper. When he is not doing something outdoors, he has fun building bikes and playing with computers in his spare time. He and his wife are small business owners in Flagstaff and are regular donators to community charities.
